"How often do you watch horror films?"

According to this chart, 10 out of 15 people mostly watch horror films monthly whereas the no one watches films 'Once a Week'. For the relase of our trailer, we need to find a specific date to distribute our film. For example, most horror films such as 'Ouija' (2016) was released in October 21, 2016 in the UK. Other psychological horror films such as:

                                           "What convinces you into watching horror film?
         Candidate 1- "I want to watch something thrilling"
         Candidate 2- "I want to watch a film that really scares me"
         Candidate 3- "The jump scares frighten me so much!"
         Candidate 4- "The symbolism within the film makes it quite interesting"
From these responses, it has helped me consider what we should punctuate for our trailer, such as the "symbolism" within and the amount of jump scares to make it more gripping to watch. 
                                                 

"Which of these paintings symbolise horror?"

In summary, the pie chart shows that the most painting picked for the horror genre is Frida Kahlo's "Girl with Death Mask" with a vast percentage of 53% whereas the lowest percentage is for "Ballerina in a Death's Head" (7%) In my opinion, I think that the most chosen painting is a wise choice as it looks innocent with the little girl (possibly the artist herself in a young age)wearing a skull mask to maybe establish a connection by conveying a symbol of the cruelty of her destiny. this is very much emblematic to our synopsis as the protagonist's fate has already been sealed. 

"In one of these four colour palettes, which one do you think punctuates horror?"

For Question 4, I asked my peers about the which colour palette would be the ideal palette that best punctuates the psychological horror genre. Palette 4 had been picked by 3 people, Palette 2 by 2 people and the most colour palette picked was Palette 3. I think that this is the right choice picked by other people as it shows the ideology of horror consisting of deathly colours  such as red, white and black.

"Do you prefer voice overs/dialogue/narration in a horror film trailer?"

Most of my peers said "No" whereas the other half said "Yes". For our trailer, we are not going to add any dialogue or narration as it gets in the way of what the trailer is briefly summarising to the audience.

Question 7, I asked them if symbolism is a significant factor for a horror film trailer, 9 out of 15 people chose 'Yes' whereas 5 people said 'No' and 1 person chose 'I Don't Know'. From this result, I need to find a particular object or person to be the symbol for the unfolding events in our trailer as I feel that this is the trigger for the situation that is about to happen. This is vital for horror films such as 'Annabelle' the doll is the center of all the ominous events. In this case, the drawing serves as the catalyst for the evil that will be unveiled., emphasising it as a trigger.


                                 

"What is your gender?"

 After the questionnaire, i asked over 15 people, most of which in the male demography (60%). This shows that we are going to aim it mostly at the male audience.

                                                             "What is your age gap?"
I mostly asked people who are mostly in the young adult age gap and that is people aged "16-18 years" (72%) I think that this will be the ideal target audience as our characters are mostly teenagers.
