Proposal for film trailer

For our film trailer, we decided to do a psychological horror film.



Synopsis




An art student finds an archaic drawing.  He rips it up and disposes it . After some time, the drawing emerges back into its original form, allowing an entity to come out of the picture. It starts stalking him its there then its not it builds with the viewer not seeing the entity but the character drawing it and then it builds to a point where the entity plagues him mentally and physically.

Chosen Genre
I have chosen Psychological horror because with this genre, It will  give me the idea to play with the notion of the character's fears/emotions and psychological disorders both mentally and physically. Also, It will give me the opportunity to be as surreal as possible as I can employ my creativity into producing this film.

Target Audience
the trailer will be aimed at a teenage audience aged between 15-24 years. this is a very typical target audience as more horror films sell their films to a young adult audience.

Location for filming
There is some considerations for location scouting, but we will be able to use the school as part of our setting.

Actors



At this stage, we will have to start considering the right actors and crew to help us make production possible and it must be kept a minimum.

Evaluation

In conclusion, I think our film trailer will help develop our creative journey and to create our own piece that interprets a professional horror film trailer. I feel quite adamant climbing up the steps from research to production and to post-production.
